Our commitment

IrishTaxTools.ie is committed to ensuring this website is accessible to the widest possible audience, including people with disabilities. We aim to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at Level AA.

Measures taken

• All form inputs have visible, descriptive labels
• A "Skip to content" link is provided at the top of every page for keyboard users
• All interactive elements (buttons, links, form controls) are keyboard-accessible
• FAQ accordions use aria-expanded and aria-controls attributes for screen readers
• Cookie consent banner uses role="dialog" and aria-live
• Navigation includes aria-label landmarks
• Colour contrast ratios meet WCAG AA requirements
• The site is functional without JavaScript for static content (calculators require JavaScript)
• Font sizes use relative units (rem) and scale with browser settings

Known limitations

Our calculators require JavaScript to function. Users who have JavaScript disabled will not be able to use the calculators. We cannot currently provide a non-JavaScript fallback for complex calculations.

We are aware that some screen reader interactions with number input fields can behave inconsistently across browser/screen reader combinations. We are working to improve this.
